So it was that Susanna Spider became the unlikely witness to the whole Nativity tale. By following her adventures the audience meet Anna Mary's mother,,Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph,The Shepherds, Simeon, The Magi, Anna the prophetess and the terrible soldiers of Herod

The show includes songs and percussion for children to join in.These puntuate the narrative as 'sound effects' such as the noise in the temple or marching soldiers; or are simple versions of andcient words such as the song of Mary or the the song of the Angels.

Susanna herself travels from one character's pocket to another until she finds herself in the the stable with Mary, Joseph and Jesus. All is well until they have to flee the soldires of Herod, but tired and weary they hide in a cave. Only Susanna hears the coming soldiers in the frosty dawn - how will she save the sleeping family?
